Emerick Farms is committed to preserving, protecting and enhancing our natural resources – land, water, air, and wildlife. Today we are actively working to reduce what we use, protect our environment, increase efficiencies and production to feed our world, and conserve our natural resources for our future generations.

Emerick Farms’ practices are environmentally responsible:

  • 100% of our seed is purchased in reusable/returnable containers
  • As many chemicals as possible are purchased and transported in reusable/returnable tote containers
  • Our equipment has GPS which reduces crop inputs and diesel fuel consumption while increasing product placement accuracy and input efficiency.
  • Bulk oil is used for equipment maintenance, avoiding the need to discard plastic and other containers.
  • Waste oil is disposed of through a certified waste oil recycler.
  • Emerick Farms participates in an environmental certification program with annual audits conducted by an independent third party.
  • Soil erosion is minimized by using waterways and terraces.
  • We save and recycle all aluminum cans, copy paper, newspapers, and magazines.
  • Emerick Farms is enrolled in the Conservation Stewardship Program through NRCS.
